Bamse - Dundertale

First off: Don't worry! My next update WILL be something turtle-tot related and I'm still working on the Hindsight script as we speak!

Secondly: I just wanted to draw a crossover with Undertale and Bamse. Bamse is a Swedish comic that's been running for ages, and is basically about a very kindhearted anthropomorphic bear that gets super strong when eating a special kind of honey known as “Dunderhonung” (free translation: Thunder honey). The reason why this crossover appealed to me is because the pro-pacifist message in Undertale is very similar to how Bamse, despite his strength, would never fight or hurt someone. Not even the most evil villain who'd probably deserve it... Non-violence, tolerance for other people and creatures, and the importance of being nice are very reoccurring themes in the stories, and that's why I felt so strongly to make this piece. That and the fact that I have a small (but very possible) chance to work as a comic book artist for this magazine, and I need all the practice I can get.

The bear we see here is actually not Bamse himself, but rather one of his kids: Brumma. She felt like a better fit for the role of Frisk, since she's already wearing a blue shirt and actually is a child. Brumma is also “different”. It's heavily implied in the comics that she has a condition similar to autism, which makes her talk and think differently from others. But her most prominent quality is the fact that she's incredibly sweet and believes there's good in everyone.
