TMNT as UNDERTALE (sketch dump)

Wow… That escalated quicker than I thought…
The last couple of weeks, I’ve been increasingly annoyed over all of the Undertale fan art that’s been popping up in my Tumblr feed and during my daily DA browsing.   But since you can’t properly dislike something without knowing anything about it, I decided to check it out just to see what the deal is with all those skeletons and monsters. Next thing you know, I was hooked. Like properly, captain, frickin’, HOOKED.  

And when I find something new I like, I obsess over it. I research, I read, I write, and sometimes I draw. But since my brain is mostly made out of pizza and mutant turtles with ninja training, this picture is a way for me to ease into a new fandom without actually leaving the previous one. With the characters from TMNT dressing up as some Undertale counterparts and re-enacting a couple of scenes from the game.

 Mikey is easily Sans, even though their kind of humor is quite different. But their roles as the short, comic relief is too similar to ignore. I kinda wanted to give Mikey black eyes, but he’d look too much like he’s been stung by a mutant wasp… So dress up only!

 Leo got the role as Papyrus, mostly because of their shared ambition of being the best at what they do, and considering themselves the responsible one. Papyrus bickering with Sans is also pretty similar to when Leo gets fed up with his brothers on the show. Leo might not have the same level of self-assurance or sense of drama as Papyrus, but he could mimic those traits from Captain Ryan. Also; Leo’s a dork.

 Raph is definitely Undyne. I don’t care that she’s a girl, their personalities are a match made in heaven. Or hell. They are both tough, strong, violent warrior-types, and they have about the same approach when it comes to cooking…

 I almost made Donnie Papyrus at first simply because of his height, but in the end I’ve gotta give him the role of Alphys, the clever hacker/scientist/inventor. Even if she happens to be a girl too. And they seem to definitely share some similarities when it comes to social awkwardness around humans, though Donnie might handle it a bit better.

 April is the human.
